The modern concept bakery was founded by Anita Chia and Aris Goh in November 2014 under the brand “Proofer”.
Our name comes from a no-shortcuts philosophy, referring to a step many bakers skip: letting the dough rise twice, resulting in deeply flavourful bread.
Simply because this is how good bread is made. PROOFER = PROOFING
It quickly became a stop for many busy urbanites for something fresh and hot enjoyed on the go.
